Dr. Heldenberg graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, with honors, in 1993. He spent his internship year as well as his years of specialization in general surgery and vascular surgery at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer. Having finished his internship, he trained in endovascular surgery in London’s St. Mary’s Hospital. Upon his return to Israel, he worked as a senior vascular surgeon at the Sheba Medical Center.

Between 2008-2010 he worked as a senior vascular surgeon at the Tel-Aviv Medical Center.

Between the years 2010 and 2019, he worked at the Yitzhak Shamir Medical Center, Assaf Harofeh Campus, managing the outpatient clinic system and the Vascular Institute, and from 2015 he managed the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Yitzhak Shamir Medical Center, Assaf Harofeh Campus.

Between September 2019 to December 2023, he served as the director of the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center.

Dr. Heldenberg engages in extensive academic activity that includes writing articles, which were published in the best global medical magazines.
